My involvement with Akitas began in 1981, when I saw my first Akita at the Terre Haute Kennel Club Conformation training classes. I immediately fell in love with this Akita, CH Sleeping Bears Teddybear Too, owned by Bill and Marcia Erwin, Noji Akitas. In January 1982, my first Akita, Noji's Asha Of Moroki, was born, a Teddybear daughter from his first litter. I completely lost interest in the Doberman I had been showing, and have had Akitas ever since.
